Chapter ? (03.11.2024) - Walmerz goes splat!

The session started with the party having finished their conversation with Nedaleen. They followed Nedaleen's directions to find Eclavdra, and found themselves in a huge, sparkling cavern. In the corner they found a small chest, which Twang suspected belonged to the Mind Flayers they fought previously. The puzzle on the lock was too challenging for Twang's Hobbit brain, but Ksnimitsu managed to unlock it. Shortly after they plundered the treasure, the party was attacked! While everybody was dealing with the various Fire Giants, Trolls, and Hell Hounds, Twang wrote "Contents stolen by Ksnimitsu of Esna" upon some parchment, and stashed it in the box.

After being eaten by a Purple Worm, Walmerz, Jackey, and Hagrid set about cutting themselves out, opting to go via the tail end in case it had swallowed any treasure. Walmerz forced himself out of the end, expecting to spill out into a tunnel behind it. Instead, he plummeted 300 feet down the tunnel the Purple Worm had burrowed, taking 100 points of damage and landing on the ground with an enormous splat, putting him on -47 hit points.

Given the fall damage he took, he had to make crushing blow saves for his gear. His Oil of Etherealness failed its save, which was in his Adventurer's Pack, which would have resulted in all of his gear being scattered across the Ethereal plane. Fortunately, his Potion of Sweet Water also smashed, and when the two potions mixed, their effects were negated.
